Jeniffer’s Heart for Compassion…

Dear Friends,
In the summer of 2006 I had the amazing opportunity to travel to peru and visit a Compassion Project in Lima. (click the picture above for the full slide show) There i saw not the poverty of Peru but the richness of Hope.

The children carry this hope with them as they dream of being teachers, doctors and policemen. They are no longer imprisoned by the poverty that surrounds them because people like you and i have chosen to give a little to change a lot. The parents carry a hope for their children beyond what they are capable of providing, and their gratitude is overflowing. It is in your sacrifice that their hope of life beyond poverty is fulfilled.

Compassion goes beyond meeting a child’s basic needs of food, health care, shelter and clothing and showers them with the love of Jesus Christ. The one on one relationship that is developed between a sponsor and the child is vital to their growth and success. Just knowing there is someone out there that cares for them and believes they are special inspires these children to overcome extraordinary circumstances. You will will be amazed at how the handwritten words from a child half way around the world can speak to your heart and open your eyes to the depth of Christ’s love for you.
